Sue M. Forsha Uss, 66, Church St., Indiana, formerly of Blairsville, died
Saturday, May 27, 1995, at Indiana Hospital. The daughter of Addison G. and
Margaret Waugaman Forsha, she was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Blairsville. Mrs. Uss
was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, VFW Post 5821, and American
Legion Post 407, all of Blairsville. She was a 1946 graduate of Blairsville High
School and a 1948 graduate of the Uniontown School of Nursing. She served 17
years in the armed forces and was a major in the U. S. Army Nurse Corp during
the Korean Conflict. Prior to her retirement in 1980, she was employed as a
registered nurse by Torrance State Hospital. Surviving are one son, Thomas R.
and wife, Melissa, Chesapeake, Va.; one grandson, Craig Uss; and one brother,
Skip Forsha, Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister,
Mary McIntosh; and six brothers: Bill Waugaman, Paul, Bill, Bub, Peck and Jim
Forsha. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Tuesday,
May 30, at the Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville, with the Rev. Dr.
Roger D. Petersen officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Four Footed
Friends, Rustic Lodge Road Ext., Indiana, PA 15701.
