Waugaman, prominent South Stewart street resident, died at his home here at 8:30 o'clock Thursday morning after an illness of ten days. Death was attributed to heart trouble. Deceased was aged 76 years, 8 months and 22 days. He was a lifelong resident of Blairsville, being horn on July 4, 1853, the son of Paul W. and Sara (Beatty) Waugaman. By trade he was a carpenter for the Pennsylvania Railroad, later going with the Peoples Natural Gas Co. He remained with the gas company for 15 years, until he retired from active work six years ago. Known as one of the oldest Masons in Western Pennsylvania, having been a member for fifty years, he was a member also of Coudersport Consistory and Acacia Lodge. Funeral services have been arranged for 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Rev. H. E. Lloyd officiating at the home and Acacia Lodge performing the Masonic Ritual at the grave. Interment will be made in the Blairsville cemetery. Deceased is survived by three sons: John, Paul and Dewey, all of Blairsville, and two daughters: Mrs. Margaret Forsha, of Blairsville and Mrs. Ella Sell, of Detroit.
