Indiana County Gazette July 12, 1905 In the death of Mrs. Sarah Wherry which occurred at the home of her son, John Wherry, at South Bend on the evening of July 4, this vicinity lost a citizen whose influence for good has literally been spread around the world. A son, the Rev. E. M. Wherry, and a daughter, Sarah, have for years been engaged in missionary work in India and through their labors the gospel has been taken to thousands of persons who in turn have proclaimed it to other thousands. She is survived by these and the following children: John, of South Bend; T. M., of Sabetha, Kas.; James, of New Florence, and Mrs. William St. Clair, of Indiana. The deceased was 93 years of age. The funeral was held Thursday.
