Yanity, 89, Indiana, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997, at the Indiana Hospital. Born on Oct. 13, 1908, in Ernest, he was the son of James and Emanuel- la Pallamone Yanity. He lived most of his life in Homer City and Indiana. Prior to his retirement Mr. Yanity had been a surveyor with the Penn- ylvania Department of Highways. He was a member of the Knights Of Columbus Fourth Degree Father McNelis Assembly 1481; a life mem- ber of the B.P.O.E. Lodge 931 of Indiana; the Quarter Century Club and the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees. Surviving are his wife, Vesta McIntire Yanity to whom he was married on Oct. 25, 1947; one Sister, Mary Hassis, Syracuse, N.Y., and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers, Pete, Joseph, Nicholas, Anthony, James, Michael and Albert. Friends will be received from 7-9 Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Robinson-Lytle's in Indi- ana where a parish wake service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catho- lic Church in Indiana. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
