We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Petition No 130 John Beatty For Naturalization Filed May 10,1819 At a court of common pleas held in Indiana for the County of Indiana in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania the second Monday of December 1815 John Beatty, a native of Ireland, and heretofore a subject of the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britten and of Ireland come into open court and on his solemn oath administered in due form of law, did depose and say that it is bone fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States and that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, states or sovereignty whatever, particularly the King of Great Britain aforesaid of whom he was heretofore a subject. The petition of John Beatty of Armstrong Township in said county hereby sheweth that your petitioner is a native of Ireland and heretofore a subject of the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and that he has resided in the United States of America since the tenth day of June,one thousand eight hundred and six, and from that period to the present time, And that on the eleventh day of December ,one thousand eight hundred and fifteen he filed his intention in open court of common Pleas of said county of becoming a citizen of the United States, he therefore prays toto be admitted a citizen of the United States. John Beatty I John Beatty, do swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of Pennsylvania, and true and I here by renounce and abjure all allegience and fidelity to any foriegn prince, Potentate,state or sovereignty whatever particularly to the King of Great Britain to whom I was before a subject.
