BEATTY, JOHN No. 8 The petition of JOHN BEATTY was presented stating forth that he is an orphan over the age of fourteen years and has no one to take care of his person and therefore praying the Court to permit him to appear in Court and make choice of a guardian. Whenupon leave being given, the petitioner makes choice of Joseph Loughry who is appointed by the Court guardian over the person and estate of said minor until he attains the age of twenty one. Orphans Court records 25 March, 1833 Indiana County, Pennsylvania JOHN BEATTY No.8 Same day JOHN BEATTY ,a minor over fourteen years of age, having had Joseph Loughry appointed his guardian on the 24th of December, 1832, the said Joseph, having declined acting , the said minor having now made the choice of Stewart Davis, Esq., the said Stewart Davis is appointed by the Court guardian of the said minor until he arrives at, and attains the age of 21 years
