FENTON, wife of JAMES FENTON of this borough, aged 32 years, 10 months, and 16 days. McWILLIAMS. At Saltsburg, on the 10th inst., ROBERT McWILLIAMS, SR., aged 64 years, 1 months and 11 days. BOUCHER. Of consumption, August 9th, 1865, HENRY BOUCHER, aged 60 years, 10 months and 5 days. THOMPSON. On August 15th in Rayne township, MAJOR SAMUEL H. THOMPSON, aged 57 years, 6 months and 10 days. REID. In West Wheatfield township, on the 14th inst., MISS ELIZABETH, daughter of T.S. REID, aged 26 years. The subject of the above notice was born in St. Blairsville, Ohio, lost her mother in infancy, was brought home by her father to her grand parents when but eight or nine months old; was adopted by her aunt RUTH REID, as her own child, and by her grand mother, her adopted mother, and all others having charge of her early training, carefully educated in the doctrines of christianity, as taught by the United Presbyterian Church, with which she associated herself at an early age. She observed a careful christian walk and conversation, during her short life, and in her last hours, called herself blessed that she was about to be called home to heaven, to enjoy the full portion of the love of Jesus at so early an age. --Com. 23 August 1865 TELEGRAPH. The good people of Blairsville are rejoicing in the hope of having telegraphic communication open with the main line in a few weeks. Already the poles are put up, and the wire is on hand to be placed in position to receive the electric spark. Ye people of Indiana, will ye not endeavor to have the telegraph extended to this place? TOMATOES. We have two tomatoes, raised in the garden of MR. AUG. ROW, which weigh respectfully one lb. and nine ounces, and one lb. and half an ounce. If any one can produce larger tomatoes than this let them bring them along. MARRIED. KIMPLE-CRISSMAN. On the 15th inst., by Rev. C.L. Streamer, CAPT. WM. KIMPLE, of North Mahoning township, to MISS MARIAH H. CRISSMAN, of Smicksburg. CASE-MOORHEAD. On Wednesday, August 23rd, MR. FRANK P. CASE, of Pittsburg, to MISS NANNIE S., daughter of WM MOORHEAD, ESQ., late of Indiana. We congratulate the happy couple upon this denouement, and "all hands" return their compliments for a share of the wedding cake. May their lives be long and prosperous. DIED. WAGH. On the 7th inst., of Dysentery, SALLIE, aged about 7 years, daughter of GEO AND NANCY WAGH, of Saltsburg, Pa. DAUGHERTY. On Tuesday evening, August 22, HARRY, son of JAMES K. DAUGHERTY, ESQ., of Indiana, aged about one year. NESBIT. On Friday evening, August 18, in Indiana, LIZZIE, daughter of CAPT. J.S. AND MAGGIE NESBIT, aged 1 year, 6 months and 9 days. STERETT. On the 4th inst., of Brain Fever, BENNIE F., aged 5 months and 14 days, younger son of WM. I. AND KATE M. STERETT, of Saltsburg, Pa. McQUISTON. On the 12th inst., of Dysentery, JOHN, aged 6 years, and on the 13th inst., of the same disease, CHARLIE, aged 3 years, sons of ISRAEL AND HANNAH McQUISTON, of Saltsburg, Pa. STERETT. On the 15th inst., at his residence in Saltsburg, Pa., from the effects of Dysentery and general debility, DR. BENJAMIN F. STERETT, aged 73 years, 4 months and 15 days. DR. S. is the father of WILLIAM I. STERETT, was born in Franklin county, Pa., March 29th, 1792, --at mature years he married MISS NANCY HOGG, of Maryland, returned to Pennsylvania, where he spent the balance of his days. He was a member of the Presbyterian church of Saltsburg, Pa. He now sleeps by the side of his much esteemed wife. 30 August 1865 COCHRAN, west of the Railroad Depot, Indiana, keeps a capital hotel. JOHN is an accomodating landlord, and his "guid wife" sees to it that the culinary arrangements are carefully and tastefully carried out. Sojourners stopping there will be kindly and courteously treated. INJURED. On last Wednesday evening, JAMES WIER, son of H.W. WIER, ESQ., and FRANK SIMMONS, son of DAVID SIMMONS, of this place, were having a little horse race, when young WIER'S saddle turned, throwing him to the ground, breaking one bone of the right arm above the wrist, and dislocating the wrist. So much for this species of sport. CELLAR ROBBED. The cellar of MR. DAVID SIMMONS, of this place, was broken into on last Wednesday night, and robbed of a number of cans of fruit, butter, bread, etc. Entrance was gained to the cellar by removing the masonry around the window, and then taking away the window. It was a bold enterprise. Citizens must look out for these nocturnal visitors. TO BE MUSTERED OUT. Lieut. JOHN McWILLIAMS, 4th P.V. acting Post Adjutant at Clarksburg, West Virginia, informs us "that the order fo5r the muster out of the regiment has been received, and all the Indiana county boys will get home soon." This is good news for "the boys," and is also welcome information for their friends at home. LATER. The regiment, we leran, is now on its way home. STOLEN. A variety of clothing was stolen from MR. BRANDON, residing in the eastern part of town, on Wednesday night last. The clothes were drying after being washed, upon the clothes lines in the yard. This comes pretty near stealing the shirt off a man's back, --it is stealing it to prevent him from getting it on. We hope the thief may be punished with a good choking, by tightness of the neckbands of the shirts, and pestered with a chafed skin by reason of a non-fit of the other garments, so that he may repent his rascality, and pay MR. BRANDON a quid pro quo for his losses. BURGLARY. On Sunday, August 20th, whilst JOSEPH MEARS, ESQ., of Rayne township, was attending the funeral of MRS. JAMES MYERS, SR., some person entered his dwelling and stole from his bureau between $40 and $50 in money, and a number of valuable papers. They also entered the house of MR. JOSEPH MYERS, JR., whilst he was about his mother's burial, and stole two deeds, a breast-pin and a guard [absin.] (A liberal reward will be paid for the apprehension of the thieves, or for the return of the property.) The burying ground was not over a fourth of a mile distant from either of the houses robbed. It is supposed that some persons residing at no great distance from the place mentioned are the criminals. STORE ROBBED. We learn, with regret, that the store of MR. LUTHER MARTIN, of Blairsville, was robbed on Saturday night last, of good amounting in value to $700 of $1000. There is no clue to the perpetrators of the net. On the same night, the post office at the Intersection was also entered, and some postage stamps, etc., taken. We hav enot learned of the extent of the loss. NOVELTIES. Our citizens are again promised a varied and pleasing entertainment, PROF. MILLAR, an eminent magician, is visiting Indiana, and will give two entertainments--on Friday and Saturday evenings, September 1st and 2d. MADAME MILLAR, highly complimented as a vocalist, is also announced on the bills. The entertainment will comprise many wonderful feats of magic, an "extraordinary exhibition" of educated canary birds, and some fine music. The lovers of song and mirth will find in the programme something which promises them enjoyment. MR. MILLAR comes well recommended as to the character of his performances and the novelty of the entertainment. INDIANA FOUNDRY. We dropped in at the Indiana Foundry, in West Indiana, on last Monday, and were Much pleased with the appearance of the establishment. We noticed, among other articles of manufacture, several varieties of cooking stoves--the Champion, and Improved Etna, etc.,- which, it seems to us, offer many advantages to housekeepers. These stoves are adapted to burning wood, the latter to both wood and coal, and they combine neatness and weight of metal, in which many stoves are deficient--and are well recommended for baking and roasting purposes. The establishment also turns out heating stoves, mill and plow castings, iron fencing, hollow ware, etc. Purchasers would do well to examine this stock before purchasing. MARRIED. FRAMPTON-HALLOWELL. On Monday, August 21st, by H. Wood, esq., S.L. FRAMPTON, to MISS ABBIE HALLOWELL, all of Marion, Indiana county. DIED. KNEE. In Indiana, on the 22d day of August, MRS. BARBARA KNEE, of Centre township, Indiana county, aged about 68 years.
