Little Frank if gone, his face no more we see, He sleeps the marble sleep of death, Yet his soul's through Christ made free. -S. --On the 20th ult., at Belvidere, Boone county, Illinois, THOMAS, son of EDWARD INGERSOLL, of this county, in the 22nd year of his age. The deceased had recently made a public profession of religion, and his exemplary conduct, gave satisfactory evidence of his sincerity. But "his record is on high," and his early death is yet another providential call to the young to "remember their Creator in their youth." --At Worthington, Armstrong county, Pennsylvania, on Sabbath afternoon, the 24th ult., after several weeks of severe suffering from Infantile Remittant Fever, JOHN REDICK, only child of DR. R.L. AND M.E. McCURDY, aged 1 year and 6 months. He was a child of promise rather in advance of his age, and of those it was wont to be said, "He was to [sic] good to live." At an unsuspected season, he was snatched from the tender solicitude and warm affections of his parents. But in this sore trial, like others in similar circumstances of bereavement, they have Divine Assurance that "of such is the Kingdom of Heaven." Surely Heaven should become more attractive to those who have reason to believe that they have either children or friends there. May this be the case with the parents of little JOHN REDICK-- by reason of whose departure they feel persuaded that: There is another little hand To Heaven's sweep harp strings given; Another gentle seraph's voice, Another star in Heaven. -Communicated by a Friend 24 October 1854 MARRIED. AND SARAH L. McFARLAND, of Saltsburg, Indiana county, Pa. The sufferings of the bereaved Parents, are known only to those having like experience. Never is anguish deeper, than when the rude hand of death, unexpectedly strikes down the infant, just as intelligence begins to expand the mind, and reason's first dawning shows the soul to be immortal; for it is then that the Parents' affections twine most closely around their treasure. But, Parents, dry your tears, for: Ere sin could blight, or sorrow fade, Death timely came, with friendly care, The opening bud to Heaven conveyed, And bid it bloom forever there. -N --On the 17th October at his father's residence near Georgeville, DR. S.E. WARREN, aged 26 years. How short the race by him was run, Cut down in all his bloom; The course but yesterday begun Now finished in the tomb. Thou joyous youth, hence learn how soon Thy years may end their flight; Long, long before life's brilliant noon, May come death's gloomy night. --Georgeville, October 24th, 1854 -An. 7 November 1854 ACCIDENT. --On last Wednesday whilst MR. Mr. A.'s eyes, and left hand were considerably injured, and it is feared that he will lose the use of one of his eyes, and that two of his fingers will require amputation. MARRIED. WILLIAM SPEEDY to MISS MARY GETTY, both of Washington township. DIED. On the 26th of October, of dysentary, MISS ELIZABETH ALLISON, daughter of ROBERT W. AND MARY ALLISON, of White township, in the 46th year of her age. --On the 30th October 1854, MARGARET, wife of ROBERT WARDEN, aged 52 years, 7 months and 15 days. 'Tis finished! The conflict is past, The heaven born spirit is fled, Her wish is accomplished at last, And now she's entombed with the dead. The months of affliction are o'er, The days and the nights of distress; We see her in anguish no more, She's gained her happy release. No sickness or sorrow or pain Shall ever disquiet her more, For death to her spirit was gain, Since Christ was her life when below. Her soul has now taken its flight To mansions of glory above, To mingle with angels of light, And dwell in the Kingdom of Love. The victory now is obtained She's gone her dear savior to see And her wish she fully has gained She's now where she longed to be. The coffin, the shroud and the grave, To her were no objects of dread, On him who is might to save, Her soul was with confidence stayed. Then let us forbear to complain, That she is now gone from our sight; We soon shall behold her again, With new and redoubled delight. -Communicated. 14 November 1854 MARRIED. Occurred today three miles north of this. ISAAC YOUNG was hauling logs out of the woods, for a stable.
