On Wednesday, whilst a gravel train laden with ties, had just passed to Blacklick bridge, some of the ties slid to one side, detaching the hind truck from the front one, and precipitating it over an embankment of about twenty feet. MR. JAMES COLLINS and twelve others were carried along with the timber. MR. BURNS was killed, and MR. COLLINS and five or six others were severely injured. MARRIED. In this borough on Tuesday morning last, by the Rev. W.C. Jackson, MR. CHARLES McMICHAEL, of West Greenville, Mercer county, to MISS JANE G. HOUSTON, of this place. --On the 11th inst., by the Rev. A. McElwain, MR. JAMES GALLAHER to MISS JANE MURPHY, both of this county. 30 September 1856 -none 7 October 1856 MARRIED. On the 2d inst., by the Rev. A. M'Elwaine, MR. SOLOMON HARRAN to MISS WILHELMINA HANNAH, both of White township. 14 October 1856 DIED. In North Mahoning township, on the 4th inst., HON. PETER DILTS, one of the Associate Judges of our County Court, in the 71st year of his age. The deceased was one of our most worthy and esteemed citizens, and in his death society has sustained an irreparable loss. --On the 30th ult., of typhoid fever, SAMUEL R., son of JOHN AND JANE ANN GOURLEY, of North Mahoning township, aged 21 years and 15 days. When blooming youth is snatched away By death's resistless hand, Our hearts the mournful tribute pay, Which pity must demand.
