Jones, in his home, City of Hastings, Nebraska. Joe. J. SANSOM to Annie KING, both of this borough, at the home of J. W. Lewis, Green Twp., on November 12, 1883. DEATHS Major John G. THOMPSON, of this place, died on the 9th inst. after a lingering illness, at the age of 85 years, 5 months, and 4 days. Mr. Thompson was born near Lewisville and was a Major of a militia battalion. Member of the M. E. Church. His wife died about two years ago. August ALLISON, wife of Walter L. Allison, of Edgewood, Center twp., died on the 9th inst. of puerperal fever, at about age 36. MISCELLANEOUS J. D. BROWN, of Cherryhill twp., will move to Bedford after the holidays. Elias MOOSE, of Cherryhill twp., and age 92, is still a very active man. Mrs. Annie E. SHAW is here from Fort Dodge, Iowa, visiting her father, John SWITZER. Jackson GETTY and his wife, a former resident of Conemaugh twp. now residing in Alliance, OH, was here last week visiting the family of his brother-in-law, John PARK. Geo. SMITH, of Green Twp, resides on a tract of land of 900 acres that he bought in 1825 from Hon. John TAYLOR, for 90 cents per acre.
