BROWN and May GRIFFITH, both of East Wheatfield, were married at the home of the bride by Rev. J. P. Kennedy (no date given). John HOLT, of Marion, and Hallie BROWN, of East Mahoning, were married on December 25, 1882, at Mechanicsburg, by Rev. Davis. Thomas LUTZ, of Chambersville, and Jenny M. ELEMING, of Creek Side, were married on December 21, 1882, by Rev. Hall. Chas. R. GRIFFITH and Ella HOLT, the youngest daughter of Capt. Holt, all of Marion, were married on December 25, 1882, at Mechanicsburg. N. C. DEVINNEY and Sallie S. OVERDORFF, both of Blacklick, Pa, were married on December 26, 1882, by Rev. J. F. Jones, at his residence. John LYDICK and Tillie GEESY, all of Cherryhill twp, were married at the residence of Jacob Lydick on November 23, 1882, by Rev. F. P. Hummell. Clark M. WELLS, of Marion, and Araminta J. LITTLE, of Davis, Indiana County, were married at the residence of the bride's parents on December 28, 1882, by Rev. A. T. Bell. T. A. DAVIS, of Indiana, Pa, and Lizzie A. PEIGHTEL, were married at the residence of the bride's parents on November 23, 1882, by Rev. ?. N. Peightel, brother of the bride. DEATHS MCGARA, Margaret, of East Mahoning December 21, 1882, of pneumonia, age 7? years. MCGAUGHY, John, of South Mahoning December 5, 1882, age about 77 years. WORK, I. Myrtle, near Marion December 25, 1882, age 19 years and 23 days. Daughter of M. T. and T. L. Work. LYDICK, Ella Jane, at Smithport December 5, 1882, age 4 months and 13 days. Daughter of S. R. and Hanna J. Lydick. MOORHEAD, Laura B., in Cherryhill Twp. December 12, 1882, of consumption Age 26 years, 8 months, and 9 days HODGE, Matilda December 30, 1882, of paralysis Age 35 years Wife of John Hodge, daughter of the late Charles Campbell. MISCELLANEOUS Samuel S. CALDWELL and James TOMB have purchased the foundry of William Tomb and Son, at Armagh. Son of John DICKS, of Livermore, recently purchased a cheap gun. The first time it was fired, the barrel burst, thereby causing him to lose a thumb and finger. Thomas STEPHENS, of Rayne twp, was seized with a fainting fit on his return from preaching at Dixonville last Sunday. He was taken to the home of John McGuire, Esq., and recovered shortly. Mr. Elias STEPHENS and wife, of East Wheatfield twp., have had three children die within a month: Basil, 8 years; Mesach, 6 years; and Morrell, almost 3 years. There remains one other son to comfort them. Jacob HALLER, one of five German emigrants, was killed instantly by the Limited Express at the Blairsville Intersection Saturday morning. His body was shockingly mangled, and was removed to the Express Office in Blairsville. It was then taken to Greensburg and interred at the County Home. Mr. Haller had recently arrieved from Wurtemburg, Germany. Found in his pocket were 45 cents, a miner's lamp, and an order for $1.20.
