Indiana Messenger, Indiana PA, May 11, 1898 MARRIAGE LICENSES A marriage license was issued at Brookville last week to George W. COCHRAN, of Big Run, and Minnie E. BOWERS, of Grant Twp. A marriage license was issued at Ebensburg last week to Mr. Stannard LOUGHERY, of White Twp., and Miss Ida STAHL, of Cherryhill. DEATHS Mary M. FULCOMER, the 11-year-old daughter of Samuel FULCOMER, of Cokeville, died at the home of her father on Wednesday morning of diphtheria. Mrs. Taylor SIMPSON, of Covode, died in the West Penn Hospital, Pittsburg, on Sabbath last. Ten days ago she was taken to that place for an operation. The operation was performed and, it was thought, success- fully. Her death came as a great shock to her many relatives and friends. The remains were interred at Covode today. She was aged about 45 years and a consistent member of the M. E. church. Joseph LYDIC, of East Mahoning twp., died on Saturday, May 7, in his 87th year. Three children -- Mr. Frank LYDIC, Mrs. Wm. LEWIS, and Mrs. Louisa SHARRAH, survive. The deceased was a member of the Ambrose Baptist church and a ruling elder since its organization. The funeral services took place on Sabbath last, conducted by Rev. Rishel. The remains were interred at Gilgal. Christopher STUCHUL died at his home in South Mahoning township, Sunday, May 8, 1898, in his --- year. He was stricken with paralysis a short time ago. The surviving children are John T., of Indiana; James, Mrs. Archie MCQUILKEN, of Dayton; Mrs. A. F. MORROW, Mrs. Calvin WYNCOOP, Mrs. Homer DODSON, of Smicksburg, and Miss Inez at home. The funeral took place yesterday. The deceased was a member of the U. P. church and most highly respected by all who knew him. John COALMER died on May 1, 1898, in Montgomery twp., at the age of 40 years. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas STEFFEY died on May 1, 1898, in Smicksburg. Mary FILER, the wife of E. F. FILER, died in Glen Campbell, on May 2, 1898, aged 49 years. MISCELLANEOUS Miss Mary STOREY, of Johnstown, a daughter of Attorney H. W. STOREY, has made application to the Bar Association of Cambria county for registration as a law student. Mr. John T. RUGH, son of Mr. James RUGH, of this place, has finished his dental studies. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia Dental College. Recently he underwent the rigid examination imposed by the State and yesterday he received a large paper with an official seal giving him permission to practice his profession and endorsing his proficiency. Mr. RUGH will locate in Johnstown and his professional career, just beginning, may be looked forward to with the assurance of success. The will of Mrs. Mary NESS, late of White twp., has been probated. Direction is given that a mare and colt and set of harness be given to her son, Andy; to her daughter Rachel, a cow; to her daughter Annie, a cow. The rest and residue of the estate is to be equally divided among her ten children--Rachel, Annie, Lena, Josephine, Maggie, Fannie, Lizzie, John, George, and Andy. George SNYDER is named executor of the will, which is dated December 11, 1895, and witnessed by A. McClain ORR and S. J. TELFORD.
