Willbook 6, p. 95) In the name of God Amen I Archibald McCurdy of the township of West Wheatfield County of Indiana and state of Pennsylvania farmer being in reasonable health of body and of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and declare this to be my will and testament in the manner following that is to say I order that all my just debts funeral expenses and charges of proving this my will be in the first place fully paid and satisfied and after payment thereof and every part thereof I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Jane McCurdy the three hundred dollars allowed to widows agreeable to the act of Assembly of the 9th of April 1849 and all my Real Estate consisting of one hundred and twenty seven acres of land in West Wheatfield Township Indiana County I give and bequeath unto my said wife Jane McCurdy and my son Archibald McCurdy and my three daughters viz:  Margaret Elizabeth intermarried with Thomas B. McGahan, Sarah Jane intermarried with Henry C. Hill, and Isabella intermarried with Thomas Cunningham.  To be appraised and sold and after the expences are paid the proceeds to be divided equally between them that is to each of them respectively share and share alike or when appraised if either of the heirs chooses they can take the land at the appraisement and after paying the expenses to pay the rest of the heirs named to each share and share alike and I give and bequeath unto my said son Archibald McCurdy one cow.  All the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattels debts ready money affects and other my estate whatsoever and wheresoever both Real and personal I give and bequeath the same and every part and parcel thereof unto my said wife Jane McCurdy my said son Archibald McCurdy and said three daughters Margaret Elizabeth intermarried with Thomas B. McGahan, Sarah Jane intermarried with Henry C. Hill and Isabella intermarried with Thomas Cunningham to each respectively share and share alike.  And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint F.M. Lichtenfelts of said Township County and State Executor of this my will hereby revoking and making void all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this only to be my last will and testament.  In witness whereof I the said Testator Archibald McCurdy have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the 15th day of July A.D. 1886. Griffith Deputy Register of Wills in and for said County was duly proved and approved the foregoing instrument of writing as and for the last will and testament of Archibald McCurdy Dec'd (who died on the 7th day of Feby A.D. 1887 at 8 oclock A.M.) by the oath of James Wakefield and C. Wakefield the subscribing witnesses thereto.  Same day Letters Testamentary issued to F.M. Lichtenfelts the Executor in said will named, he having first been duly sworn according to law. J.S. Griffith, Deputy Register And now to wit 31st day of October 1887 Sarah Jane Hill a daughter of said testator comes into court and elects to accept the said Real Estate to wit 127 acres more or less situate in West Wheatfield township in said County at the praised valuation thereof to wit at the value of $1905.xx and requests that a deed be made to her the same upon payment of the purchase money.
