I James Hamilton of the Township of White in the County of Indiana and State of Pennsylvania being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and to the end, that I may be the better prepared to leave this world when ever it shall please god to call me hence, do therefore make and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say, First and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator, and as to the worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to intrust me. I dispose of in the following manner viz; It is my will and I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of any personal Estate as soon as may be after my decease. 2nd, I bequeath and devise unto my beloved wife Margaret all the balance of Personal Estate of every discription, and all the one undivded half part of my Real Estate to her and her heirs and ofsigns? forever, with the use of the house on which, I now reside during her natural lifetime. 3rd I give and devise unto my son-in-law Thomas Carnahan the remaining undivided half part of my Real Estate to him and his heirs and assigns forever. Upon condition however that the Said Thomas Carnahan pay the sum of thirteen hundred and thirty dollars in the manner and at the times hereinafter specified to wit: To my daughter Nancy Trimble the sum of One hundred and fifty dollars to be paid within four year after my decease. To my son William L. Hamilton the sum of One hundred and fifty dollars, to be paid within five years of my decease. To my daughter Jane Lydick, the sum of One hundred and fifty dollars to be paid within Seven years after my decease. To my daughter Matilda Trimble the sum of One Hundred and fifty dollars to be paid within eight years after my decease. To my daughter Eliza Martin the sum of One hundred and fifty dollars to be paid within nine years after my decease. To my daughter Mary Ellen Carnahan the sum of One hundred and fifty dollars to be paid within ten years after my decease. To pay Annually for the term of ten years, to the Free Presbyterian Church of Indiana and Diamondville the sum of thirty dollars commencing at my decease, To the American Missionary Association the sum of fifty dollars to be paid four years after my decease. To the American Bible Society the sum of fifty dollars to be paid within Eleven years after my decease. To my Executors hereinafter named, the sum of thirty dollars for the purpose of defraying the expenses of settling my estate to be completed within one year of my decease. I further direct that if any of the institutions to which I ordered money to be paid Shall cease to exist as a separate organization then it is my will that the money be equally distributed amungst my children. And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my wife Margaret and my son William L. Hamilton, Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revolking and making void all former wills by me at anytime made. In which is whereof I said testator made to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the fourteenth day of June A.D. 1862. Black, Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration on and for the said County of Indiana, was duly proved. and approved the foregoing instrument of writing as and for the last will and testament of James Hamilton, dec'd. By the oath of A. W. Taylor one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, and by the oaths of Wm McLanahan and B. F. McCluskey as to the hand writing of A. C. Hall the other subscribing witness thereto, who is now decesed. Same day Letters Testamony issued to Margaret Hamilton one of the Executors in said will named Wm L. Hamilton the other Executor in Said Will named having removed his right. Same day Executrix summ according to law. See will of Probate filed Wm R.
