I, William Beatty, of the Township of Washington, County of Indiana, and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound and disposing mind and understanding, do publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. First, I do hereby order and direct my executrix herein after mentioned , to fulfill an article between my father, Andrew Beatty, made August 10, A.D.1853, and William Beatty, his son, to pay and satisfy all my just debts, funeral expenses, and the expense of preparing of this, my last will and testament, as soon as convenient after my decease. Second. I give and bequeath to my wife, Sarah Beatty, all my personal property of every kind, whatsoever, including any case in action and any money that I may have on hand at my decease, except one horse at the value of sixty dollars which I dispose of herein after and one milch cow. Third, I give and devise all that certain piece of land situated in Washington Township , on which I now live, to my beloved wife, Sarah Beatty, while she remains my widow. Fourth. I give and devise unto Catherine Cochran which I have raised from infancy all that certain aforesaid mentioned piece of land to her and her heirs at the death of my wife, Sarah Beatty, or at the time that my wife, Sarah Beatty, may marry, to remain the aforesaid Catherine Cochran property forever Fifth. I give and bequeath to the said Catherine Cochran one horse of the value of sixty dollars, and one milch cow, being the same as above excepted. Sixth. I do hereby order and direct my wife, Sarah Beatty, to give to the said Catherine Cochran one good womens saddle and bridle, one bedstead and bedding, one bureau,one set of chairs, one set of cups and saucers, one set of knives and forks, good suitable clothing out of the property bequeathed to the said Sarah Beatty. Lastly, I do hereby apppoint my wife, Sarah Beatty, to be the sole executrix of this, my last will and testameent Signed William Beatty Signed, sealed and published and declared by the testator to be his last will and testament in our presence and in the presence of each other, who at his request have signed our names as witness thereunto. McCluskey, Register for the Probate of Wills and Granting Letters of Asministration in and for said County, was duly proved and approved the foregoing instrument of writing as and for the Last Will and Testament of William Beatty, deceased, after the Oaths of A.C. Patterson and Thomas Wiggins , subscribing witnesses thereto.Same day Letters Testamentary were issued to Sarah Beatty, executrix , in said will named, she being first duly sworn according to law.
