Date: 30 July 1868 Grantors: George Kuhnley and Catherine, his wife, of Henderson Twp., Jefferson Co., Pennsylvania Grantee: Henry Hilliard, also of Henderson Twp. Consideration: $ 284.00 Description: "...All that certain Tract or piece of land lying and being in Henderson Township, in the County of Jef- ferson and State of Pennsylvania, and bounded and described as follows, to wit: Beginning at a Poplar the North West corner of the said George Kuhnley's land, thence East forty five perches to a post, thence South fifty two perches to a post, thence West forty two perches to a post, thence North fifty two perches to the place of beginning, Containing fourteen acres twenty two perches. It being the North West corner of the tract deeded to George Kuhnley by the heirs of William Johnston, deceased, of the City of New York, by their Attorney Hor- ace Binney..." The deed includes an interlining, which may be significant, but its placement is not well indicated among the boilerplate: "...and distances of lines East & West and amt of lands put in by I. Cable & Henry Hilliard, Dec. 11th 1879, present owners of lands."
