Written: July 28 1879 This indenture Made the Twenty Eighth day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and Seventy nine, Between Adam Swab and Susan his wife Henry Miller and Elizabeth his wife John Rader and Jane his wife of Clarion County Pa Levi Swab and Harriet his wife. Henry Swerling and Margaret his wife Columbus Stahlman and Theresa his wife. Friderick Miller and Catharina his wife William Stofer and Sarah Ann his wife Abraham Lingenfelter and Elizabeth his wife and Frank Smith of Jefferson County Pa of the first part and J. H. Craig of New Bethlehem, Clarion County Penna of the second part: Witnesseth That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Eight Hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America, well and truly paid by the said part of the second part to The said part of the first part at and before the sealing and delivery of These precents The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted. bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain sell alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said part of the second part his heirs and assigns, All the undivided Fiftynine Sixty Thirds of that certain piece or parcel of land situated in the Township of Knox County of Jefferson and State of Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows. Beginning at a Hemlock at the North East Corner of Philip Hetricks lot, thencely the same North 88½° [88.5 degrees]West One hundred perches to a Hemlock, thence by land formerly owned by Wm. Newcom North 1½° [1.5 degrees] East One hundred and Seventy two perches to an Ironwood, thence South 88½ [88 degrees] West One hundred Perches to a post; thence 1½ [1 degree] West One hundred and seventy two perches to the place of beginning. Containing One hundred and two Acres and one hundred perches and allowance. Being part of a larger tract of land surveyed in pursuance of a Warrent numbered 3963 Patented in the name of Jeremiah Parker, and being the same piece or parcel of land conveyed by George Newcom and wife to David Swab by deed dated Dec. 11th 1875 (was 1865 with 6 overwritten) which Deed will be found recorded in the records of Jefferson County in Deed Book No. 29 page 69 & 70 reference being thereunto had will and which the parties of the first part became seized of by reason of being Heirs and legal representatives of said David Swab deceased and a quit claim Deed from David Swab (said Sarah Ann Stofer Elizabeth Lingenfelter being daughters and said Frank Smith a Son of Christiana Smith deceased Daughter of David Swab Dec'd) After writing and before signing or acknowledging above Deed Margaret Siverling died leaving no issue serviving her. Together with all and singular the tenements and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof: And also all the estate. sight title interest property claim and demand whatsoever both in law and equity of the said party of the first part of in to or out of the said premises, and every part and parcel thereof. To Have and to hold the said premises with all and singular the appurtenances, unto The said party of the second part his heirs and assigns. to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Parties of the first part their heirs executors and administrators, do by These presents covenant grant and agree to and with The said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part Their heirs all and singular The hereditaments and premises hereinbefore described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be. with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim The same or any part thereof shall and will by these presents. Stofer {Seal} Harriet Swab {Seal} State of Pennsylvania County of Jefferson On the Fifth day of August in the Year one thousand eight hundred and Seventy nine before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said County of Jefferson came the above named Adam Swab and Susan his wife Levi Swab and Harriet his wife, Henry Siverling Henry Miller and Elizabeth his wife Columbus Stahlman and Thresa his wife Frederick Miller and Catharine his wife John Rader and Jane his wife William Stofer and Sarah Ann his wife A Lingenfelter and Elizateth his wife and Frank Smith and they acknowledge the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desired the same might be recorded as such; and the said Catherine Jane, Sarah Ann and Elizabeth Lingenfelter, Susana Harriet Margaret A. Elizab. Miller Thresa being of full age and separate and apart from their husbands by me examined, and the full contents of said Indenture being by me made known to them declared upon such separate examination that they each did voluntarily and of their own free will and accord seal and as their act and deed deliver the said Indenture without any coercion or compulsion of their said husbands before signing or acknowledging Margaret Ann Siverling died leaving no issue.
