Written: March 14 1857 Recorded: September 17 1857 DEED Adam Swab & wife To Henry Mock This Indenture made the fourteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty Seven Between Adam Swab of The Township of Perry in the County of Jefferson and State of Pennsylvania and Polly his wife of the first part and Henry Mock of the same place of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and thirty Seven Dollars and fifty four cents lawful money of the United States of America, unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the Sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained, Sold aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents to grant, bargain, Sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, All that certain messuage, or tenament and tract of land, Situated in the Township of Perry in the County of Jefferson and State of Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows viz: Beginning at a chesnut oak Thence by land of Jacob Mock South one and one half degrees West, one hundred and twenty nine perches to a post, thence by land of Michael Shilling North Eighty Eight and one half degrees West, Eighty perches to a chesnut oak, thence by other lands of the first party, North one and one half degrees East, Eighty four perches to a post, thence by same land, South Eighty Eight and one half degrees, East twenty nine and three tenth perches to a post thence by some lands North, one and one half degrees East foury five perches to a post, thence by land of George Miller, South Eighty Eight and one half degrees, East fifty and Seven tenth perches to the place of Beginning Containing fifty Six acres and forty one perches Strict measure, being part of the same premises which Alexander Colwell [Codwell] and others by their Attorney in fact William Davis by Indenture being date the fourth day of October A D 1856 for the considerations therein mentioned did grant and confirm unto the said Adam Swab (party hereto) his heirs and assigns forever as in and by the said in part recited Indenture, relation thereunto had more fully and at large appears Together with all and Singular the Buildings improvement ways waters water-cources rights liberties previleges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profites thereof: and all the estate, right title, interest property claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, in law equity or otherwise howsoever, of in and to the same and every part thereof To have and to hold the said fifty six acres and fourty one perches strict measure as before described hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned, and intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said Adam Swab and Polly Swob the said parties of the first part for themselves their heirs executers and administrators do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part and their heirs all and Singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assignes against them the said parties of the first and their heirs and against all the every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof Shall and will warrant and forever defend In Witness whereof the said parties of the first part have to these presents Set their hands and seals Dated the day and year first above written Sealed & Delivered in the presence of us John Swab Adam Swab {SS} Joel Spyker Polly X Swab {SS} Received the day of the date of the above Indenture of the above named Henry Mock the sum of Three hundred and thirty Seven Dollars & fifty four cents lawful money of the United States being the consideration money above mentions in full Witness John Swab Adam Swab Joel Spyker Jefferson County P S On the Fourteenth day of March Anno Domini 1857 before me the suscriber one of the Justices of the Pease in and for Said County came the above named Adam Swab and Polly Swab his wife and acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and Deed and desire that the same might be recorded as such she the said Polly being of full age and by me examinded Separate and apart from her Said husband and the contents of the said Indenture being first made fully known to her;
