Died at camp near Fredericksburg, Va., William S., son of Wm. and Eleanor Newcomb,
aged 17 years, 1 month, and 5 days. The subject of this notice enlisted in the
defense of his country, casting in his lot with the 148th Reg't P. V. He enjoyed
remarkably good health until the 2d ult., when he was suddenly seized with a violent
attack of inflammation of the brain, and died on the 5th of the same month...
