Charles F. Work, 78, of Portage Lake, Akron, O., formerly of Punxsutawney, died
Monday, August 8, at his home. He was the last of a large family, a son of John
L. and Mary Doty Work, of East Mahoning Township, Indiana County. Four brothers,
Russell, Clark, Ebert and Harry and two sisters, Sara R. Mottarn and Hattie
Ruse, all preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, the former Anna
Bartholomew, Marchand, and one son, Floyd B. Work of Akron, O. A daughter, Nora
died in her youth. He is also survived by eight nephews and nieces, among them
Mrs. W. C. Fitzgerald of R. D. 1, Indiana. Services will be held in Akron
tomorrow, Wednesday afternoon and interment will be made there (Punxsutawney
papers please copy).
