D. 2, died at the J C Blair Memorial Hospital,Huntingdon, at 11:50 p.m. Friday December 21, 1956. He had been ill for the past month and had been hospitalized since December 16. Mr Coy was born in Coalport on November 18, 1882, the only child of William and Elizabeth (Numer) Coy. He was united in marriage to Lucy M Steiner who proceded him in death on September 6, 1945. On March 1, 1949 he was united in marriage to Ruth F Grant who survies. The deceaded was a member of the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church. He also was a member of Lodge 730,. Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Altoona; the Pennsylvania Railroad Relief; the Huntingdon Hook and Ladder Company and the POS of A. Mr Coy was graduated from Juniata Business College in 1904 and served as a rural mail carrier on Route S for nine years. In 1921, he went to work for the PRR and served as fireman and engineman until his retirement in 1948. Surviving, in addition to his widow are three sons, John C of Wilmington, Del, Chalmer M of Huntingdon R D 2 and Blair G. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and three great-grandaughters. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, December 24, at Brown's Huntingdon, with the Rev. Rollin Taylor officiating.
