Molson JLMolson@aol.com January 12, 2005, 2:24 am Juniata Sentinel & Republican, 10 Dec 1925 Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Lyons Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Molson) Lyons, was born March 29, 1838, in Mexico, Juniata county. She passed to her eternal reward on December 3, 1925, aged 87 years, 8 months and 4 days. She had been in good health until March 29, but since that time she had been confined to her chair. On March 21, 1867, she was married to Mr. Edward Lyons, who preceded her to his eternal rest July 9, 1903. To this union were born six children, four of whom survive her. They are William Lyons and Edward Lyons of Freeport, Illinois; Mrs. Sarah Rich and Robert Emery Lyons, of McAlisterville. She lived in McAlisterville for more than forty years, and was the oldest member of the Lost Creek Presbyterian congregation. Mrs. Lyons united with the Lost Creek Presbyterian congregation February 8, 1891. on confession, and her beautiful Christian character was an inspiration to other to follow in her footsteps. The funeral services were held Sunday, December 6th, at the Presbyterian church at 8:00 p.m., conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. M. Norris. Interment was made in the Lost Creek Presbyterian cemetery.
