Molson JLMolson@aol.com January 14, 2005, 2:28 pm Freeport Journal Standard, 18 Mar 1937 WILLIAM C. LYONS (1869 Ð 1937) William C. Lyons, 67, a resident of Stephenson county since 1899, passed away at his home, 509 West Broadway, yesterday. Mr. Lyons had apparently been in his usual health early in the day but suffered a heart attack which caused his taking off. Funeral services will be conducted at the Eichmeier & Becker funeral home, West Stephenson street, at 1:30 oÕclock Saturday afternoon. Dr. D. L. McNary, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will conduct the services and interment will be made at Lena. Friends may view the body at the Lyons home until 10 oÕclock Saturday morning. Mr. Lyons was born at Mexico, Pa., July 12, 1869, the son of the late Edward and Mary Lyons. In 1899 he came west with his brother, Edward, and settled in Stephenson county, since residing here. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Augusta Natzel Ford Aug. 22, 1904. He is survived by his wife, a sister and a brother, Mrs. Sara Reich, Baltimore, Md., Robert E. Lyons, McAllisyerville, Pa. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death, Laura, Mathilda and Edward Lyons.
