Jonathan Ryner, an aged and respected citizen of Mifflintown, Juniata county, died at his home at that place at 11:10 o'clock Wednesday night of old age. Deceased was born August 23, 1837, and was a veteran of the Civil war, having served as a member of Company A, First Pennsylvania cavalry. He was honorably discharged from the service February 20, 1865. He is survived by his wife and these children: E. L. and J. B. Ryner, of Nora Springs, Iowa; Mrs. A. S. Helsor and A. C. Ryner, of Altoona; Mrs. G. C. Taylor, of Hollidaysburg; Mrs. Charles Leach, of South Fork; W. E. and Mrs. Max Nestler, of Mifflintown. He was a member of David Wilson post, of Mifflintown. The funeral service will take place Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock, interment in the Presbyterian cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Friday morning, March 2, 1917
