The Altoona tribune. (Altoona, Pa.), December 01, 1859
Died on the 18th ult., in Mifflintown, Juniata county, Pa., Mrs. Rachel R. Sellers,
wife of the Hon. James M. Sellers. aged 29 years. Mrs. Sellers was a daughter of
Mrs. Ruckman of Lewis township, Northumberland county, and became a member of the
Presbyterian Church at Warrior Run, in her 20th year, and maintained a highly
respectable and consistent profession. She united with the Presbyterian Church at
Mifflintown, and although a stranger, yet she endeared herself to all by her kind,
amiable and gentle deportment, and died deeply regretted by a large circle of
friends and relations. Her hope in life and death was founded on the merits of
Christ, and the peace of God sustained her under all her afflictions.
