Juniata sentinel. (Mifflintown, Pa.) 1846-1873: September 11, 1872
On the 4th inst., in Pfoutz' Valley, Rev. George Zider, aged 89 years, 10 months and
28 days. The deceased was the father of ten children, the grandfather of forty
grandchildren, and the great grandfather of fifty-five great grandchildren, making
in all one hundred and five descendants. He was an esteemed citizen of Pfoutz's
Valley, and was engaged in preaching the gospel to the Mennonite congregation for a
period of forty-two years. His funeral services were conducted by Revs. Isaac
Barton, J. K. Snyder and Joseph Bahsler.
