Eugene T. Muskey, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Muskey, 1324 Mulberry Street, has been awarded the silver start, it was learned today. Seageant Muskey, veteran of the North Africian, Sicilian and Italian campaigns, won the high Army honor October 13, 1943, when crossing the Volturno River, his platoon was caught in an artillery concentration and tank offensive by the Nazis. Noticing one of his companions wounded Seageant Muskey, with disregard of his own saftey, ran forty yards exposed to enemy fire and succeeded in bandaging his comrade's wound and getting him to a place of cover. Sergeant Muskey has two brothers in the service, Corporal Joseph, stationed in Indiana and Sergeant John at Hendricks Field, Fla.
