Cahoon Dies of Pneumonia At Lynbrook Home Joseph Gress Cahoon, for Thirty-eight years employed on The New York American as a Sterotyper, died early yesterday February 24th, 1935, At his home, 208 Sherman St., Lynbrook, of Pleural Pneumonia. He was 57. Born November 12, 1877 Mr. Cahoon came to New York City from his birthplace, Scranton, Pa. when he was 19, and obtained employment on the American, where he remained until taken ill last week. He leaves his widow, a daughter, Edith, two brothers and two Sisters. Masonic funeral services will be held tonight at Waldeck's Funeral Parlors, 7614 Fourth Ave. Brooklyn, at 8:40 o'clock Burial will be tomorrow morning in Cypress Hills Cemetery. Mr. Cahoon was a member of Kedron Lodge, 803 Free and Accepted Masons, and was formerly Commander of the EBN Machree Boat Club in Bath Beach.
