                                P.P CANNON DEAD
                PASSED AWAY YESTERDAY AFTER AN ATTACK OF APOPLEXY
  
  
       Patrick Paul Cannon, died suddenly last night at his home on
  Jackson Street death due to apoplexy. Mr. Cannon had for some time
  been suffering from erysipelas, but at no time had his condition been
  regared as dangerous, and a medical man was not called in until a few
  minutes before the end.
  
       Deceased was well known in this city, where he won a large
  number of sincere friends. He was born in Carbondale in January, 1855
  and came to the city as a child. For many years he has conducted a
  hotel on Jackson Street. He was prominent member of the A.O.H.R. of E
  and the CMBA, Branch 44, and took an active interest in the affairs of
  both organizations.
  
       He is survived by a widow and two daughters Gertrude, now at
  Bloomsburg, And Loretta. He was the brother of Michael, Thomas, Henry
  and William Cannon, mail carrier and Mrs. Mary Connolly.
