CUSICK DIES UNEXPECTLY Michael P. Cusick, 1723 Jackson St., Suffered a fatal heart attack this morning at 5:54 am at his home. He was proprietor of Cusick's Cafe in West Scranton. Born in this city, a son of the late James P. and Helen Gannon Cusick, he was educated in local schools. Mr. Cusick was veteran of World War. He Was a communicant at St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a member of its Holy Name Society and Koch-Conley Post, American Legion. Mr. Cusick was a brother of Sister Mary Austin, Sisters Of Mercy Order, stationed in Chicago, Ill. Other survivors are his wife, the Former Gertrude P. Cannon; a brother Joseph M, Palo Alto, Cal., and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted from the Cusick Funeral Home, 217 Jefferson Ave., at a time to be announced. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight. Additional Comments: 14 December 1953 Final rites conducted for Michael P. Cusick Final tribute was paid this morning to Michael P. Cusick, 1723 Jackson St. Well-known West Scranton Businesman. The funeral took place from the Cusick Funeral Home, 217 Jefferson Ave. Mass was celebrated in St. Patrick's Church ³ Rev. John Casey, Rev. Harry Lewis was the Deacon and Rev. William Egan, Subdeacon. Casket bearers were: Eugene and John O'Malley, Joseph and John Moran, Thomas Gurney, James Spencer, Peter Graham and John Joyce. Members of West Scranton Lithuanian Club acted as flower bearers.
