Muskey Sr., 2804 Birney Ave., died today in Mercy Hospital, where he had been a patient the past 10 days. His wife the former Ann Lydon, died in 1970. Born in Scranton, son of the late Charles and Sarah Dempsey Muskey, He was a U.S Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at the Scranton Times Circulation Department as a truck driver for 55 years. He was a graudate of St. Thomas High School, where he starred in basketball. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Minooka section of Scranton, its Men's Societies, Connolly Post 568 American Legion, Minooka Section, and the 25-Year Club of the Scranton Times. Surviving Are two Sons, John G. Jr., Holloywood, Ca., And Robert J.; a sister, Mrs. Marie Foss, Mentor, Ohio; a brother William, California; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He Was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Eugene and Joseph. The funeral will be Monday from the Mary Eagen Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., with mass at 9:30 am in St. Joseph's Church, Minooka Section. Interment, Catherdral Cemetery.
