Myers, 65, of McAdoo, formerly of Dover, N.J., died Monday at the home of her son in Whitehall after an illness. She and her husband, William Myers, celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary in July. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Jerome S. and Ethel Urbuteit Slutter, she was a 1957 graduate of Scranton Central High School and attended Marywood College. She graduated from St. Elizabeth College, Convent Station, N.J., in 1972. A retired accounting specialist, she worked for the U.S. government for 32 years, beginning at the Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey for 20 years and retiring from the Tobyhanna Army Depot. She returned to Tobyhanna as a private contractor until her illness. She was a member of the Pearl Chapter No. 79, Order of the Eastern Star, Dover, and Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, McAdoo. She enjoyed doing crafts, sewing and crocheting and will be dearly missed by her family. Also surviving are a son, Gordon, Whitehall; two nieces, a nephew and two cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl G. Slutter. The funeral will be Saturday with services at 11 a.m. in the Davies and Jones Funeral Home Chapel Inc., 135 S. Main Ave., by the Rev. William Snyder, pastor, Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, McAdoo. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Dunmore. Friends may call Friday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, 120 E. Washington St., McAdoo, 18327.
