He is survived by his wife, the former Betty Sherman, with whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage on Nov. 30. Born Feb. 18, 1939, in Falls, son of the late Emerson and Gladys Lacoe Rosencrance, he was a graduate of Falls Overfield High School. He served in the Army Reserve, was self-employed in excavating and worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Waverly Lodge 301, Clarks Green, and the Shriners Club, Scranton. He was a terrific person and was an excellent husband, father, grandfather and brother. Also surviving are three sons, Daniel Rosencrance and wife, Kim, Jason Rosencrance and wife, Jennifer, all of Ransom Township; and Rusty Rosencrance and wife, Petra, Hopkinsville, Ky.; three sisters, Bonnie Novajosky and Beverly Maas, both of Falls; and Ruth Passeri, Ransom Township; four grandchildren, Dominque and Simone Piffico, and Harlie and Jolienne Rosencrance; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Rosencrance. Services will be Sunday at 8 p.m. in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main St., Old Forge.
