  The Scranton Times October 16, 1905

  James Joseph Ryan, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Ryan, of Scranton, 
  died last evening at the home of his sister Mrs. H. V. Lawler of Jessep, aged 
  24 years. He was a member of the firm of Ryan and Lawler and is survived by one 
  sister, Mrs. H. V. B. Lawler and one brother Edward W. Ryan. He was born 16 
  March 1880 in Scranton.
