  Ruth E. Savage, of Scranton, died Sunday at the Mercy Hospice following an 
  illness. She was the widow of Stanley F. Savage, who died May 16, 1999. 
  
  Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Alonzo and Anna Slutter, she was 
  educated in Scranton schools. Prior to retirement, she was employed by 
  Consolidated Molded Products, Scranton. She was an active member of Trinity 
  Congregational Church. 
  
  She was a loving wife who was committed to her family, was an avid gardener who 
  enjoyed her flower and vegetable garden and possessed a terrific sense of 
  humor. 
  
  Surviving are three nieces, Ruth Lloyd, Dalton; Marion Gazdik, Throop; and Ruth 
  Sweet, Scranton. 
  
  She was preceded in death by five sisters, Mildred Slutter, Lillian Hunter, 
  Marion Jones, Anna Lloyd and Helen Lewis; and three brothers, Edward, Jerome 
  and Willard. 
  
  The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral 
  Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., wiht the Rev. Frank Andrews, pastor, Trinity 
  Congregational Church, officiating. Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery, South 
  Abington Township. 
  
  Friends may call Wednesday 6 to 9 p.m.
  
  Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice, 746 Jefferson Ave., 18510.
