General Index to Registerís Dockets - Book #1 (L to Z) Page #57 - Estate #5141 Will of Ann Morgan, late of the City of Scranton, County of Lackawanna, State of Pennsylvania, deceased. Scranton, Pa January 20, 1900 I Mrs. Ann Morgan of Providence, PA declare this to be my last Will and Testament. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mrs. Elizabeth Arnold a dwelling house situated on the East side of Wayne Ave, and known as No 1752 in the Second ward in the city of Scranton, PA. I also bequeath to my daughter Mrs. Elizabeth Arnold the dwelling house situated in the rear of 1752 dwelling and also land (18) feet in width in the front and (24) feet in width in the rear of the block of three houses, and the front part and south west corner of dwelling house in the rear of 1752 and thence (30) feet in width to the rear fence in the back of the lot. I also bequeath to Mrs. Elizabeth Arnold all of my parlor furniture and fixtures. I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Ann Morgan the two dwelling house known as 1750 and 1750 ‡ on the East side of Wayne Ave in the Second ward in the city of Scranton, PA, and also a part of the lot where the building stands (33) feet in width in the front and (27) feet in the rear of the houses 1750 and 1750 ‡ and thence from the southwest corner of dwelling house in the rear of number 1752 it is to be only (20) twenty feet in width from there to the fence in the rear part of the lot. I also bequeath to my daughter Margaret Ann Morgan the Organ, feather bed and all the bedclothes. I will all the other household furniture equally divided between my daughters Mrs. Elizabeth Arnold and Margaret Ann Morgan. The above named parties are to pay Martha Randall the sum of two hundred dollars each. This sum to be paid after all legitimate debts are paid tat may in the future be held against said properties. I also bequeath to my daughter Mrs. Martha Randall my Gold Watch and Chain. In witness there of I attest my name in the presence of these witnesses this 20th day of Jan. 1900. Witnesses R.J. Reese John J. Henry Mrs. Ann Morgan Now March 15th A.D. 1900. Elizabeth Arnold appears and being duly sworn says that Ann Morgan died the 4th day of March 1900. Henry the subscribing witnesses to the above and forgoing last Will and Testament of Ann Morgan late of Scranton Lackawanna County and State of Pennsylvania, deceased, being duly sworn according to law do say that they were present and saw and heard Ann Morgan the testatrix sign, seal, publish and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for her last Will and Testament and that at the time of so doing she was of sound mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief and that they did sign their names as subscribing witnesses in the presence of each other and in the presence and at the request of the said testatrix.
