Dispsition of Estate of Barbara Showalter, 1833 and release by Susana Wolf of Executor, 1846 To all To whom these presence may come whereas Barbara Showalter late of Earl Township, in the county of Lancaster and state of Penna, widow dec'd and by her last will and testament in writing bearing date the ninth day of August Anno Domini, one thousand eight hundred and thirty, where and whereby, amongst other things, she bequeathen all and singular of her estate to her sons and daughters and their legal representatives share and share alike, directing that the shares of her two daughters Christiana and Susanna, should be placed in the hands of her trusty friend John Kurtz, Ser.. of Salisburg township in the county and state aforesaid, in trust nevertheless for the use and benefit of the said Christiana and Susanna, and their heirs allowing them the interest and part of the principal, if their need requires it, attest as in and by her said last will, since her decease, duly proved and remaining in the Registers office at Lancaster, recourses being thereunto had may appear, by virture and in compliance with the direction of the said recited will, the said John Kurtz, Ser.. paid the interest and part of the principal of the said Susan's share to her attorney in fact leaving a balance in the hands of said trustee of Seventy-five dollars only who duly executed a release for the same, bearing date May the 20th Anno Domini 1833 Recorded in the recorders office of said county of Lancaster in Book Y --- 5 page 216 -- relation being thereunto had may appear and whereas the sum of twenty-five pound $67.33 payable to the said Susanna by her brother Henry Showalter as a part of her fathers estate, also come into the hands of the said John Kurtz, Ser.. and whereas all the parties concerned in this matter have become old, the said Susans intermarried with Peter Wolf, from information by letters, appears to have need for this money and the said trustee anxious to dispose of the same in his lifetime, for the purpose intended, thought proper to pay the same over NOW KNOW YE that we the said Peter Wolf of Richland County and the state of Ohio and Susanna his wife, late Susanna Showalter, do hereby acknowledge that we have this day received of and from the said John Kurtz,Ser.. the said sum of sixty seven dollars and 33 cents together with all the interest accrued theron and I the said Susanna Wolf do hereby further thankfully confess and acknowledge that I have this day received of and from said John Kurtz trustee as aforesaid the said seventy five dollars and all interest accrued theron, in full satisfaction and payment of all such sum or sums of money legaries and bequests as are givin and bequeathen unto me the said Susanna, by the last wills of both my father Jacob Showalter and my mother Barbara Showalter and therefore we the said Peter Wolf and Susanna his wife no by these presence, release, requit and forever discharge the said John Kurtz, Ser.., his heirs, executors and adminstrators, of and from the said legaries, intrusted to his care as aforesaid and of and from all actions, suits, payments, accounts, reckonings, claims and demands whatsoever, for or by reason thereof or of any other act, matter, cause or thing whatsoever from the beginning off the world to the day of the date of these presents IN WITNESS whereof the said parties have hereunto interchangeably, set their hands and seals this thirty first day of March Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and forty-six,1846, witness present at signing.
