All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/lancaster/ _______________________________________________ Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Deed Book G5, page 190-191 Elizabeth Township Written: March 17, 1827 Recorded: March 19, 1827 George Fetter & wife to Conrad Mentzer } THIS INDENTURE made the seventeenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven, Between George Fetter of the County of Lebanon and Susan his wife of the one part and Conrad Mentzer of the township of Elizabeth and County of Lancaster of the other part, Witnesseth that the said George Fetter and Susan his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and twenty one Dollars and forty Cents were and truly paid by the said Conrad Mentzer to George Fessler trustee under a Deed of Assignment & Executed by the said George Fetter and wife to the said Fessler for the benefit of Creditors and dated the twenty seventh day of March A.D. 1821: the said sum having been paid as afore mentioned on the first day of April A.D. 1823 as well as for and in Consideration of the sum of five Dollars in hand, paid to the said George Fetter at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledge. Have granted Bargained released and Confirmed and by these presents Do grant release and Confirm unto the said Conrad Mentzer and his heirs and Assigns all the Tract of Land Situate and being in the Township of Elizabeth and County of Lancaster Bounded and described as follows, to wit, Beginning at a stone thence by Land reserved for a road, South four Degrees, and three quarter of a degree East thirty nine perches and one half of a perch to a White oak thence by Land. Land late of Henry Feather South Eighty seven degrees east fifteen perches to a Stone thence by Land late of Henry White north four Degrees and three quarters of a degree west thirty nine perches and a half of a perch to a Stone thence by the Same north Eighty seven degrees West fifteen perches to the place of Beginning Containing three Acres and one hundred and eight perches of land Strict measure being part and parcel of a Larger tract of Land Containing one hundred and twenty four acres and forty nine perches and the usual allowance and is the same Tract Conveyed to Conrad Mentzer his heirs and assigns by Indenture executed by George Fessler & wife dated the first day of April A.D. 1823 as by reference thereto will more fully appear together with all and Singular the Houses and Buildings thereon erected and build and also the Estate right title and interest of the said George Fetter and Susan his wife of in and to the same or any part thereof. To Have and to Hold the said three acres and one hundred and eight perches Strict measure hereditaments and premises hereby granted with the appurtenances and released unto the said Conrad Mentzer his heirs and Assigns forever. To the only proper use of the said Conrad Mentzer his heirs and assigns forever. And the said George Fetter Doth hereby Convenant for himself his heirs Executors and administrators to grant such further assurances and Conveyances for the more perfect assaring granting and releasing all and singular the said premises with the Appurtenances unto the said Conrad Mentzer his heirs and assigns upon the reasonable request of the said Conrad Mentzer his heirs and assigns hereby Convenatiny to warrant and forever defend the said Premises & Tract of Land above described against the said George Fetter and Susan George Fetter and Susan his wife and their heirs and against all persons Lawfully Claiming the same by from or under them or any of them In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals dated the day and year first above written George Fetter {seal} Susan her X mark Fetter {seal} Sealed and deliver in the presence of us Samuel Eberly George F. Miller Lebanon County SS Personally appeared before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for said County George Fetter and Susan his wife and Acknowledged the foregoing Indenture of release to be their Act and Deed and desired the same might be recorded as such according to Law the said Susan being of full age and by me Examined Separate and apart from her said Husband and the Contents thereof being by me first fully make known to her She did declare that she voluntarily and of her own free will and Accord Signed and Sealed and as her act and deed delivered the Same without any Coercion or Compulsion of her said husband.
