All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/lancaster/ _______________________________________________ Cocalico township, Lancaster Co., PA Written: July 16, 1773 Recorded: August 7, 1775 Leonard Moma & UX to Cunrad Meinzer } This INDENTURE Made the sixteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy three Between Leonard Moma of Earl Township Lancaster County yeoman and Maria Catharine his wife of the one part and Cunrad Meinzer of Cogalico Township County aforesaid of the other part. WITNESSETH That the said Leonard Mom & Maria Catharine his wife for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred pounds lawful money of Pennsylva. to him the said Leonard Mom well & truly in hand paid by the said Cunrad Meinzer at or before the ensealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he the said Leonard Moma doth hereby acknowledge and thereof & of every part & parcel thereof doth acquit exonerate & discharge forever the said Conrad Meinzer his heirs & assigns by these presents have granted bargained sold aliened released enveoffed & confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien release enfeoff & conrim unto the said Cunrad Meinzer & to his heirs & assigns forever, ALL THAT CERTAIN piece or parcel of land situate lying & being in Cocalico Township in the County of Lancaster aforesaid BEGINNING in the line of Geo. Benner’s land thence North eighty six degrees East eighty four perches thence by land of Michael Winger North twenty eight degrees East one hundred & fifty six perches thence by land of Tobias Miller North thirty one degrees West eighty six perches thence South nine degrees & three quarters of a degree West two hundred & thirty one perches to the place of Beginning Containing one hundred & thirty seven acres & one half of an acre with the usual allowance. The said land is a part of two hundred & seventy five acres & allowance by a Proprietary Warrant granted to one Nicholas Zimmerman, and the said Nicholas Zimmerman died intestate seized thereof leaving issue two daughters Barbara & Margaret intermarried with Christian Moma late of Earl Township in the County aforesaid which said Christian Moma died intestate leaving issue John Moma AND WHEREAS in the minority of said John Moma and equal division was made of the said tract of land between Paul Furman who intermarried with the said Barbara Zimmerman and the Guardians of the said John Moma, which division the said John Moma being now of age hath ratified by a certain Indenture bearing date the 14th day of April A, 1773 in which he for the consideration therein mentioned hath granted & conveyed over all his right title & interest to the above described tract & appurtenances unto Leonhart Moma party to these presents. TOGETHER WITH all & singular the houses outhouses edifices & buildings thereon erected & built profits commodities advantages emoluments hereditaments & appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining & the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest use trust property possession claim & demand whatsoever of him the said Leonhard Moma of in or to the same or every or any part thereof and also all deeds evidences & writings touching or concerning the same or any part thereof & now in the custody or possession of him the said Leonard Moma or which he can or may come by without suit at law or equity. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said piece or parcel of land hereditaments & premises hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the sd. Cunrad Meinzer his heirs & assigns to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the said Cunrad Meinzer his heirs & assigns forever Under & Subject to the residue of purchase money interest & yearly quitrent now due & hereafter to become due for the same to the chief lord or lords of the fee thereof. AND the said Leonard Moma & Maria Cahtarina his wife for themselves their heirs exrs. & admrs. do covenant promise & grant to & with the said Cunrad Meinzer his heris & assigns that he the said Leonard Moma his heirs & assigns and all & every other peron & persons his or their heris anything having or claiming in the said premises above granted or meant mentioned or intended so to be or any part thereof by from or under h them or any or either of them shall & will from time to time & at all timees hereafter upon the reasonable request & at the proper costs & charges of him the said Cunrad Meinzer his heirs & assigns make do & execute or cause & procure to be made done & executed all & every such further & other lawful & reasonable act & acts thing & things conveyances & assurances in the law whatsoever for the further better more sure & perfect granting conveying & assuring of all & singular the said premises with the appurtenances unto the said Conrad Meinzer his heirs & assigns forever as by him the said Cunrad Meinzer his heirs or assigns or his or their Counsel learned in the law shall be reasonably advised devised & required. AND he the said Leonard Moma & Maria Catharine for themselves their heirs the said piece or parcel of land above described & premises unto the said Conrad Meinzer his heirs & ass. against him the said Leonard Moma & his heirs & against all & every other person & persons whatsoever lawfully claiming said premises or any part thereof by from or under him them or any of them shall & will warrant & forever defend by these presents only the chief lords of the ffee thereof excepted. IN WITNESS WHEREOF the said parties to these presents have hereto interchangeably set their hands & seals the day & year first above written.
