(Lancaster, Pa.) 1864-1928 October 15, 1880 Alexander Hall, colored, of Columbia, who was employed at the steel works as hod-carrier and fell from a scaffold to the ground, a distance of twenty-five or thirty feet, breaking his back, about two weeks ago, died at the Harrisburg hospital early yesterday morning. His remains were taken in charge by undertaker Spicer, and at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon were sent to Columbia for interment. Hall's wife, who was in attendance since his admission to the hospital, accompanied the remains to Columbia.
