Lancaster Daily Intelligencer. (Lancaster, Pa.) January 2, 1880
The soup house opened yesterday morning and the poor families of the city will now
be supplied daily. It is in charge of Billy Shay and his wife and the soup is as
good as ever. Yesterday 396 persons were furnished with soup and this morning the
number was 367.
