Mrs. Matilda Ailes.

  Mrs. Matilda Ailes, wife of Isaac Ailes, died this morning at her 
home in rear of Hotel Lancaster.  Deceased had been ill for several 
weeks.  She bore her sufferings with Christian fortitude and her end 
was peaceful.  Deceased was a most estimable woman, who had a large 
circle of friends.  Besides a husband two young daughters, Maud and 
Ethel, survive.

DIED.

  AILES.  January 20, 1890, in this city, Mrs. Sarah Matilda, wife of 
I. W. Ailes, in the 46th year of her age.
  The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the 
funeral from her late residence, 40 East Fulton street, on Thursday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Funeral of Mrs. Matilda Ailes.

  The funeral of Mrs. Matilda Ailes took place this afternoon from her 
late residence in the rear of Hotel Lancaster.  Religious services were 
conducted by Rev. C. Elvin Haupt.  The floral offerings were numerous 
and beautiful.  Interment was made in Woodward Hill cemetery.
