Baker, 53, of 635 South Market street, Elizabethtown, was seized with a heart attack, yesterday, and died within a few minutes. Mr. Baker was working on the road being constructed from Elizabethtown to Bainbridge, and had finished work. After putting away his tools he fell over in a faint, and died shortly afterward. Deputy Coroner Frank S. Miller was called, and, after an examination by coroner's physician, Dr. Vere Treichler, issued a death certificate giving heart trouble as the cause of death. The deceased was well known as a school teacher in many parts of the county. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Elizabethtown. Mis (sic) wife, Mrs. Malinda Baker, is the only survivor. No funeral arrangements have been made. Lancaster Daily Intelligencer, Tuesday morning, August 28, 1928
