Henry Binkley, a native of Lancaster county, and for the last year a resident of this city, died at the Altoona hospital at 1:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon of pulmonary edema. He had been in ill health for some time and was admitted to the institution on March 1. He resided with a son, Edward Binkley, of 2513 Seventh avenue. He was born in Lancaster county September 22, 1849, and spent practically his entire life in that section. He was the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Binkley, both deceased, and was a dealer in horses for many years. His wife died ten years ago and he is survived by several children - Edward Binkley, of this city; Mrs. Elizabeth Lane, Mrs. Joseph Guy, Waynesboro, Pa.; Mrs. George Elmhurst, Raleigh, N.Y.; Mrs. George Markey, Akron, O.; Harry and Thomas Binkley, Mountville, Pa., and two brothers, Samuel, of Illinois, and Harmon, Mountville. The body was prepared for burial by Lafferty & Tobias and will be taken to Mountville tomorrow at 11 o'clock. Funeral services and burial will take place Thursday morning.
