DANIEL CHALFANT

Daniel Chalfant, a resident of Columbia, died last evening at 5:15 o'clock at 
the county hospital, to which institution he was admitted on Monday afternoon 
suffering from a complication of diseases.  He was born in Columbia, June 1, 
1875, and was in his 42d year.  He is survived by the following sisters and 
brothers:  Mrs. Catherine Rettew, Mrs. Emma Bahn, Mrs. Frank L. Garner, of 
Columbia; Mrs. B. F. Trout, of Lancaster; Percy, of Columbia, and Frank, of 
Lancaster.

The body was taken to Columbia this morning and taken to the home of his sister, 
Mrs. Emma Bahn, on Lancaster avenue, from which place the funeral will be held 
on Monday morning at 10 o'clock.  Interment will be made in Mt. Bethel cemetery.
