He was seventy-two years old. Although a Lancaster countian he went to Reading when a boy. He learned the trade at the Hendel plant at Hendleton, and worked there most of his life. His wife, Cecelia, died five years ago. These children survive: Kate, wife of David L. Gross; Mary, wife of Brooke T. Harrison; David Coldren, Reading, and James Coldron, Yonkers, N.Y.; and three sisters and brothers: Mrs. Chrisitiana Messner, of Lancaster county; a half-brother, Richards Swartz, Illinois; Mrs. Elizabeth G. Mohn, Adamstown; Mrs. Catharine Von Neida, Reading, and Samuel Coldren, Schuylkill Haven. He was a member of the First United Evangelical church. Terre Hill Times, Friday, September 30, 1910
