Deem, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jesse Ream, Voganville, at 1:30 o'clock, Saturday afternoon. Death was caused by a complication of diseases after a sickness of about eight years. He was a member of the P. O. S. of A. lodge of New Holland. He leaves his wife and the following children: Mrs. Theodore Fryberg, Mrs. Howard Miller and Mrs. Howard Eck, all of Reading; Harry and Edwin and Martin, Ephrata, and Mrs. Jesse Ream, Voganville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock at his late residence with further services at 1:30(?) o'clock in the Pequea Presbyterian church, Salisbury township.
