Frank M. Dilks, former Pastor The Rev. Frank M. Dilks, eighty-eight a guest at the Cornwall Methodist Home, died September 5th in Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, after an illness of 10 days. Originally an insurance agent in Northern Pennsylvania, he entered the ministry at the age of sixty-seven. He held pastorates in a number of churches in Lancaster County before retirement in 1956. His last church was Boehm’s Methodist Church in Willow Street. Prior to that, he preached in Morgantown, Churchtown and Conestoga-safe Harbor area. Born in Salem. NJ., he was a son of the late William and Mary Jane Robinson Dilks. His wife, Mrs. Rhoda Riegle Dilks, is a guest at the Cornwall Methodist Home. His first wife, Martha Beodleman Dilks died in 1955. Surviving besides his wife, are these sons and daughters: William L., Port Elizabeth, N.J.;Mrs. Ida R. Dasch, Philadelphia; Robert C., Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Marian Merrill, Drexel Hill, Pa; and James R., Llanarch, Pa. Also surviving are 11 grand children, 11 great grand children; and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Zimmerman, Baltimore, MD., and Mrs. Gertrude Burr, St. Paul, Minn. Funeral services were held at Lancaster on Saturday afternoon, followed by interment in Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford.
