Mrs. Katherine Dommet, widow of the late Cornelius Dommet, died at 11:45 o'clock this morning, at the home of her son, Harry, who resides at No. 427 St. Joseph street. She left her home, No. 236 West Vine street, several weeks ago to visit her son, and while there she became sick, contracting typhoid pneumonia, which resulted in her death. Deceased was born in Baden, Germany, and she came to this country in 1852 and settled in this city, where she was married and remained up to the time of her death. Mrs. Dommet was well known and made many friends, and she was the mother of a large family and was a very estimable woman in all respects. She was in the sixty-eighth year of her age. Mrs. Dommet was a member of St. Joseph's church and belonged to the altar society of that church. The following children survive: Frank, who is a baker; Katherine, wife of Frederick Wagner, of this city; Barbara, wife of Jacob Gerhard, of this city; Mary, living at home; Harry, who is chief baker at the almshouse, William F., Joseph, of this city, and Charles, residing in Philadelphia. The funeral will take place on Tuesday morning from the residence of the deceased's son Harry, with high mass in St. Joseph's church at 9 o'clock and interment at St. Joseph's cemetery. IN ANOTHER SECTION OF THE PAPER: DEATHS. DOMMET. – In this city, on the 17th inst., Katherine Dommet, widow of the late Cornelius Dommet, in her 6-th year. The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the residence of her son, Harry Dommet, No. 4-7 St. Joseph street, on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock.
