Eisenberg, known far and wide as the proprietor of Eisenberg's store, near Millway, died at his home on Tuesday at 8:30 P.M., following an illness with dropsy for the past two months. His age was 69 years and 18 days. Mr. Eisenberg was the son of the late Myers and Zetta Eisenberg and was born near Adamstown. He received his education in the public schools, this being supplemented with a short course at the Millersville Normal School. At the early age of fourteen years he was considered competent to teach school, which he did for the following five years. The he started his career as a merchant, first becoming a clerk in a store at Schoeneck. In 1875 he opened up the store near Millway, which he has conducted ever since. Mr. Eisenberg was noted for the large line of stock which he carried, this stock embodying almost anything conceivable in the line of merchandise. He was a Republican in politics and held various minor offices in the district where he resided. Mr. Eisenberg was twice married. His first wife was Annie Wolf, of Millway, who died in 1886. His second marriage was to Miss Kate Heiser, of Akron, who survives. There are no surviving children. Two sisters, Mrs. Cahrles Stamm, of Ephrata, and Mrs. Charles Shirey, of Lincoln, also survive. The funeral will be held on Monday with services at the house at 9:30 and at 10:30 A.M. in the Lincoln Reformed church, of which deceased was a member. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
